    Default Opening for Spring

Hi. I have an in ground gunnite pool, cartridge filter we're going to replace all that this year. But in lieu of paying about $400 for opening our pool, besides removing the cover and throwing a bunch of chemicals in (I, of course, will be more methodical and actually test the water etc), what do you need to do when opening? I see a common errors section but no type of checklist or anything...any place you could direct me for that info? Thanks!

A checklist would be incredibly helpful. Something along the lines of:

    (Example)

    Step 1-remove cover
    Step 2-test water
    Step 3-run pump for ____hours
    Step 4-vacuum to filter/waste
    Step 5-add ____________
    Step 6-test water again
    Step 7-add____________

...and so forth. Please, if there is a generic order of operations, I'd love to get it right the first time. Thanks!
