    Default Another cloudy water problem

Another cloudy water issue. When I opened the pool this spring there was a lot of algae – I treated the algae and vacuumed to waste – the algae is now gone, the ph , alkalinity and chlorine levels are good, filters are clean. But the water is still cloudy. When I start the pumps a stream of white flows into the pool from the supply lines for almost 5 minutes? Changing and cleaning filters does not mitigate this.
Also when I swim foam bubbles form on the surface for a few seconds. I suspect this is some algaecide residue – is there any way to get rid of that?

    This is subjective.

You need to start by posting your numbers/test results
Also sounds as if you need to inspect your filter (what type of filter is it?). Most cloudy water problems simply need filtration.

If you have cloudy water, you should only be shutting the pump off to backwash. Run it 24/7 until the water is clear.
