Skimmer

I have an above ground pool and the skimmer door keeps getting stuck closed and then limits water into the skimmer, cause air intake.
Is there a reason why that door getting stuck closed???? The water level is a little lower than normal could that be the reason, or something else???

Lots of reasons:
The door could be inserted wrong--take it out and re-insert it.
The foam in it could have slipped--even it out.
The door could be damaged--replace it.
The door could be the wrong door--replace it.
Something on the side of the skimmer is causing it to rub--fix it.
Get your water level high enough.

Probably some more, too.
