    Default New pool pump recomendation

I have a 28ft round above ground pool 54" deep that needs a new pool pump. Do you think a 2 speed 1hp pump would be sufficient or should I go with 1.5hp. My filter is the S180T that has flow of 35gpm. I am looking at the
    SP15922s.
    Thanks,

I think that pump on low should be pretty good. I recall mas985 (whose opinion I trust) recently posted something positive about that line. In the Hayward AG lineup, even the SP1540C should serve without overwhelming the filter, 18" is a pretty small filter and a big pump on a small filter is a bad combination. The 1 HP Powerflow Matrix on high would be too much.
