Lightbulb Does Kool-Deck need to be sealed periodically?

Someone recently told me that Kool-Deck surfaces need to be periodically sealed with a special product. My pool builder never said anything about this. Is this true? If so, what product is used?

Some people use Kool-Deck as a generic term to mean deck coating of any manufacturer. Kool-Deck is made by Mortex and does not need to be sealed but does need to be taken care of properly. Check out the Mortex web site they have a pdf on how to take care of Kool-Deck.

I have genuine Kool-Deck. Thanks for the link to the manufacturer's site.
