    Do you simultaneously aerate and apply muriatic acid? Some people say to let the acid sit for up to 12 hours and you say to turn the pump on and aerate. Please clarify.

    It doesn't really matter.

    The aeration won't begin to have much effect till the pH is lowered, but it won't hurt anything, either.
