Default New pool build -- builder can't quite finish

We just finished our pool build and contractors can't seem to finish a few punch list items.

We built a 26,000 gallon free form in ground pool with raised hot tub. Everything looks good. Biggest issue is we went with Wet Edge Primera Stone. They finished three days ago and the surface is streaked and is discolored. Pool builder says it takes 30 days to cure and this will go away. Is this true?

    Thanks

    OK, that's easy.

    1. It's never a good idea to pay a contractor for unfinished work that they can't 'get around to' right now. Just no. (And, I am, or have been, a contractor!).

    2. If he's sure, tell him you've heard some conflicting reports, and would be more comfortable if he'd give a written 1-year warranty agreeing to bear all costs of repair the streaks, if they don't go away like he's sure they will. You'll find out real fast whether he's REALLY sure or not.

If he's actually not sure . . . your next step depends on the contract you have with him.
