    Default Order of tests?

In what order do you do your water tests? Even with rinsing the comparator tube, will a preceding tests taint the results of the previous?

    Curious.

    Default Re: Order of tests?

As long as you rinse well, it doesn't matter. I use an OTO/ phenol red kit for day to day quick tests of chlorine and pH. I only test alk maybe a time or two per month, calcium maybe once per year. ( I have an AG pool and don't use cal-hypo.) I test CYA frequently upon opening til I get it where I want it and then maybe twice more total throughout the summer.
