    Generally, any sort of strainer should stay in place especially when vacuuming. Specifically, I'll need to know more about the skimmer and vacuum as well as pump / filter. Intex makes a number of different filters and I presume Summer Escapes also makes a wide range of equipment.

    Would you please provide all the specifics you can including a description of the vacuum, it's attachment, and the skimmer as well as type and possibly model of pump / filter?
