    Question Cloudy water.

I think my problem is caused by hard water, but here are the details.

I recently opened my IG Pool (16x32). The water was clear. I tested the water and vound the Ph was low 6.6 or so. I added Ph Up (sodium carbonate) and the water turned cloudy with a whitish colour.

I am thinking of using a Floculating (Aluminum somthing or other) in the hope that the stuff will precipitate out so that I can vacuum it out.

    What do you think?

Post test results and we can help. Without them it would just be a guess. Chlorine, pH, TA and CH at least.

I tried using the floculating agent - Aluminum Sulfide and it is working. The recommended method is to put about 50g per 10,000 litre into the skimmer. It is supposed to form a gell on the sand filter and it seems to be working for me.
