Always wear old clothes when dosing bleach. The bleach seems to know when I haven't changed into my pool care clothes.

I've been dumping off the diving board into the deep end of our pool. Is this OK? We have an outlet in the shallow end, with a 90 degree angle pipe directing the flow towards the deep end (down slightly to get the water at the bottom moving), a skimmer in the middle of the pool, and an inlet sucking straight in in the deep end. Is the chlorine just being sucked into the inlet and into our filter?

If you have an in-line chlorinator do NOT pour bleach into the skimmer!

My preferred way is to pour the bleach directly into the return stream.
