Honestly, with that a pool that small, you need to use the SSR -- but drain it every 2 weeks.

There's simply not enough water to treat it like a regular pool. Put another way, in a pool that small, the 'people goo' becomes too concentrated to deal with the same way. It's more like spa, with a really bad filtration system.

Get a cheap OTO kit; use the chemicals found in the SSR, add a dose of chlorine every evening. But also add a small dose before, and a regular dose after each time the pool is used.

Then, drain and refill it every 2 weeks.
