    Default LED light question

I have a standard light niche and bulb in my in-ground pool. I was wondering if it will accept an LED bulb, the kind that changes colors, or does that require a whole different set up? I was at a friends house the other night and I really liked how his light was able to change colors slowly, or could be set to a single color.

And are there any recommendations as to which brand I should be looking at?

I replaced my standard 300 watt screw in bulb with a 546 led replacement light . I used the original socket and niche with no problems . It changes colors and modes by flipping the switch . Working good for 3 years now. I bought it from an ebay seller in New Zealand , was a little nervous about that transaction but the price was right and it arrived no problems. I did add a 12 volt transformer to convert from the original 110 volt , that may not have been required I think there were 110 volt options available but it gave me piece of mind . I have a 20 x 40 liner pool with a single light in the deep end and it is plenty of light .
