Default Fixed my telescoping pool pole problem

I've searched everywhere trying to find someone who had fixed their telescoping pool pole problems. Mine just would slip and wouldn't stay fixed. It would also be VERY hard to loosen. Sometimes I had to use a wrench!

Well, I finally fixed it a few days ago. I removed the top collar (the "nut" that moves) and cut, with a hacksaw, about 1/2 inch off the botton. It works great. I have photos but am a newbie so I can't post photos yet.

Sorry, the Google Drive link didn't work. Unfortunately all the free (and even the non-free) photo services tend to present a moving target. I went ahead and posted your image via the PoolForum Picasa account.
