Old Pool Pump--high electric bill
I have seen some of the back posts about power consumption. I have an old pump wired at 220 (7.4amps) and my electric bills are high. I do not have access to a clamp on amp meter, but I have looked at the power meter with/without the pump running. With the pump running it rotates at 1 revolution per 9.5 sec and without the pump running it revs every 20 seconds.
I have a new AC system that is supposed to be much more energy effcient, but I fear my pump is sucking quite a bit of the savings.
Any help would be great...
thanks
