what gauge of liner and how to stop ants

Also do you think I should have my house inspected now as well? The pool is close to the house and its been 10+ years since we had it inspected for termites. We did extensive remodeling over the last 7 yrs and no evidence anywhere during that time and we had everything exposed from foundation to roof at times. But we have been finished for the last 2 yrs and I know alot can change in that amount of time.

ive also heard that putting down DE powder and or Comet(im assuming the cleaner) under the liner might help as most bugs seem to hate it..........................anyone have any knowledge on that? I would also treat with a termite chemical as well....

I have been hoping someone who knows about termites would chime in for you. I have also heard that DE helps but I'm not sure that is a long term solution. I wonder if some pest control companies would come out and give you estimates and advise.
