I have a 10,000 gallon fiberglass pool,with a cartridge filter. I live in lower Alabama and for most of the day my pool gets full sun. I'm having trouble getting the algae under control this year. I just added 2 small boxes of baking soda. My Ph is good a 7.4, how long should I wait before adding chlorine? Thanks for any advice

. . . Always, always add bleach -- or chlorine -- first. Baking soda does nothing to algae.
