Which way goes toward's the water the smooth side or the textured side?

It's about 2/3 smooth up and 1/3 textured up, depending on brand. You can always tell by looking at the seams. The side that is up will have nicley trimed seams and the under side will have a much rougher cut. This difference should be day and night.
