Default Replacing Multiport Value Pentair 50118300 - Need Purchase Advice

After 20+ years with my Pentair 8 multiport valve (1.5" PVC), I must replace it due to a cracked housing. Not sure how it cracked. I think this was an American valve before Pentair bought them. This valve has been discontinued (of course).

Not sure but I think this is the 50118300 model.

I would like to replace it with minimal replumbing or parts exchange.

It is mounted on a pPurex Triton Meteor 26" high rate sand filter.

Can anyone recommend an alternative that would keep the project fairly simple but is a reliable/dependable unit?

The Praher TM-12-S8 is a perfect replacement for the American (Pentair) 50118300. It seems to be high quality, too.

You have already installed it? And it worked out OK?

    (If so, great!)
