    And that's what happened. Added the Clorox "with" and the next day I had brown "sandy" deposits about 8' in front of my return.

    The only time I have seen anything like this was when I had metal problems and the pool store gave me ferra tabs to put in my skimmer (or local water supply had a bunch of iron in it, problem at the treatment plant). All the metal eventually sequestered out, and it looked and landed exactly where the stuff after the Clorox did.

    I just used it the one time, until I found a cheaper source of 6% without the additive. But in the back of my mind I've figured if I ever have a metals issue again, I plan to use use it again.

    I am very interested in this thread too. My Calcium levels are pretty high (520) and this might be a cheap easy solution.
