    I don't see where anyone has addressed the pH problem yet--pH of 6.8 is acidic, and can damage your pool In fact, I think 6.8 is the lowest range on the test scale, so it could actually be lower than that. You need to get some 20 Mule team Borax into your pool. I'd start with about 1/3 box, pouring in through the skimmer, breaking up the clumps--give it a couple of hours to circulate, then retest and add more if you need to. You'll shooting for a target of 7.2-7.6.

    Good call Janet! Also the TA is a bit low....it would probably be better at about 120 ppm! If your 27' above ground is round with 4 feet of water then 8 lbs of baking soda should get you in the ballpark. Since you pH is so low I would retest the TA once it is in line and see where the reading is....you might need less!
