My IG liner pool has stone coping that is surrounded by a large brick patio. The patio is set in sand so after a busy day there is always some sand on the bottom of the pool. My question is will I damage the pump and filter by using the vacuum attached to the skimmer? I can feel the sand in the line when I move the filter handle from "Filter" to "Backwash".
