Salt?

I've been reading alot about the salt, do you have to have a salt generator to use the salt? If you use chlorine, do you still want to use the salt. I dont have my pool yet, they are bring it this weekend and I'm trying to find out the best way to go.

Salt is necessary only if you have a salt water chlorine generator. Some people who do not have one add some salt to their pool because they like the 'softer feel' it gives the water.
