New Intex Pool

I just bought an intex 16 x 48' pool. I filled it with well water and then put about a half a pound of HTH shock treatment in it. I ran the filter about 7 hours and the water turned dark brown. I tested it with the strips and the FC/Bromininine is 2/4, PH 7.2, TA = 0. What do I do, I am very new at this.

In the future, it would be better to start your own thread than to add a question to somebody else's thread--it makes it harder for those responding to give advice without confusing the two poster's situations.

I put metal magnet in the water and it turned my dark coffee looking water into a tea looking water, however it took two days and two bottles. Now my water is a light green color, should I add 1 more bottle of metal magnet? My water does have iron in it.

Aylad, I just discovered recently that it's possible to 'extract' posts from within a thread, and move them to a new thread in the same forum or a different one. That's what I've done here.
