I just bought a 4,000 gallon above ground pool to replace a smaller one. My old one had a place in the pump to put 1" chlorine tabs. The new pump has no such place and the manual doesn't mention chlorine anywhere. How should I chlorinate this pool? Can I just drop a chlorine tab into the new filter even though there isn't really a place for one?
