Default New Sand after Baquacil Conversion

    Hey all
Just finished my conversion from Baquajunk to BBB. Thank Heavens I did it. Couldn't be happier with my pool

Now we have to change the sand in the filter. I wanted to change with you guys before I have to make a trip to the pool store and am "pool stored" by a young pimple faced sales person.

I believe when we bought the pool we did ZeoSand. What do I need for a 2 hp that says 250 pounds of sand? Is there any particular type of sand that is best??

    Thanks in advance

Just buy "Filter Sand". Lately it's been around $5-$6 for a 50# bag--that's $25 to $30 for your new sand.
It's marked "Filter Sand" and I've yet to see a pool store that didn't sell it.

    Thanks Carl.

I just wanted to make sure they wouldn't try to sell me something more expensive, that I didn't need, or wasn't what they promised.

You know, like they did with the baquacil
