How much water do I fill up my sand filter with?

My manual doesnt really say. I am afraid I may have put too much in it, would that cause the pressure to be too high if I did.

It will eventually fill to almost the top on it's own.

If you have an air release valve on the top, turn on your pump and then open that valve until water starts to come out, then shut it. The filter should be as full as possible and will have no affect on your pressure.
