    Default Streamers / Jets

Do streamers (jets of water shooting from the deck to the pool surface) affect the pool chemistry. My wife thinks they are a must. I'm sure the sound of moving water will be nice (may even drowned her out!).

It will raise the PH without raising the TA through aerating the water. That is about it though.

I have 2 of them in my pool (along with a few waterfalls and bubblers). Net effect I see is a slight lowering in the TA over time. Just means I have to add some baking soda once in a while. Not a big deal. My fill water has a TA of 110 ppm so when i replace evaporation it takes care of a lot of it for me.

Biggest effect from them is faster water evaporation from the pool. When I don't run them the water level doesn't go down as fast.
