    Default After testing is finished

To do my tests, I go get a cup of water from my pool and bring it in my office. I spread Ben's kit out on my computer desk and test everything each Saturday morning. Afterwards, I take the tubes and containers to my bathroom, where I pour them down the drain and rinse them out.

Here's my question. I am on septic, and just spent $3k getting my field lines replaced this spring. Will the dumping of minute amounts of miscellaneous chemicals once a week have any impact on my septic tank or field lines?

Sorry if this sounds silly, but I don't want to do something that will cause issues down the line, especially since I can dump the stuff in the yard and rinse the equipment outside.

    Thanks!

I don't know if there are any septic tank experts out there, but I wouldn't think small amounts of these chemicals would do anything harmful. However, I have heard where too much bleach down the toilette will kill many of the organisms that "digest" the solid wastes.
