SWEET!!! THNKS! One more thing, Like I said this is a new filter, do I let the pump fill the filter qith water, or do I need to fill the filter with water befor I put the valve on?

The pump will fill the filter and any trapped air will bleed out. Tighten up everything and fire the pump. May take several minutes for the air to escape but that is normal.

really quick... I was looking at the fitting on the pool, and the valve to change between skimmer and main drain. I noticed that the fittings are or look like they can be 2 sizes. Currebtly and prior to new filter I has 1 1/4" hoses. The fittings that are on seem to be both 1 1/2" and 1 1/4". They look like step downs. Can I just cut the end off of the fitting and make it 1 1/2"?
