    Default Liner disaster

    Hello,
I got an AG pool last summer - beaded liner. When taking winter cover off - a small portion of liner had popped off - we put it back on. Sunday, all of a sudden, the liner popped off big time - all the water gushed out.
sand washing away around sides. We have redone the places where sand washed (concrete filler stuff??) anyway...I am switching to a overlap liner as I keep hearing there are less problems (true or false????) - many theories on why this happened - don't know if liner type will make a difference - we are working on correcting a water drainage problem on hill behind pool in case that was a cause. One pool place said that the beaded liner probably shrunk from heat - but that doesn't make sense to me. And if that's the case, why wouldn't a overlap do the same - then I would end up with a hole instead of popping off - but would I end up with the same water gushing disaster???
    HELP!!!!!!!

Can you post a pic of the hill and water problem? Maybe even just a berm around the outside of the pool to direct the water away from and around the wall. And as for the beaded verses non beaded liner, personally I like the non beaded, I feel that the beaded type is less forgiving. I think that things have to be done perfectly in order for them to work correctly. I am sure that they are fine for professionals though, just not really for DIYer's.

Thanks for your responses. I'm not digital camera or computer smart enough to post a picture yet - but hopefully, we have corrected drainage problem. I am going with a overlap this time. I have everything ready and am waiting for pool guy to come put it in.
