I just wanted to follow-up on this thread. My new two-speed motor is in! I decided to just drill a hole in the motor cover plate and install the switch there since I won't be changing speeds very often - only for cleaning. Wiring was a piece of cake and everything worked fine on the first try (left me a bit suspicious)!
