noisey motor

I have a 2hp pentair whisperflo pump that is making noise. I took it apart today and the impellar is fine. ITs the motor that is making noise. This is my second season, but I am over the 2yr. in service warranty period. It has
limited 3 year but prorated so I pay 66% of list I guess.

I guess I could just replace the motor, but that will cost me 200+ with gaskets, seals, etc...

Have any of you guys had problems with these pumps?

Can you recommend a good, quiet pump? Thanks.

What type of noise is it? Is it the motor bearings or is the fan hitting the casing - either one is fairly easy and cheap to fix.
