High Ph and high Alk - help!

Okay - my fill water alk was 330. I added dry acid before going out of town Friday. Just returned (Sunday) and it's at 270. I just added more dry acid. But not I'm reading to adjust Ph first? It is at 8.2. Where should I go from here?

Also, with adding dry acid, CYA and bleach today, is it okay to swim?

I would suggest reducing your pH with muriatic acid....cheaper and more effective. Shoot for 7.2 - 7.6.

I cannot comment on your bleach and CYA because you didn't give us any test results.

CYA is 0 - pool was just filled Friday as we were going out of town. (Not good timing - installer was delayed a week.) CL is 0 as well. I added 3 qts bleach.
