I just bought a house with an inground pool that looks like a swamp.

I've been working on it for a week using the soft swim program by bioguard and have already spend 250 my parents say thats insane because they have a chlorine pool. i don't know much and need all the help i can get so i want to switch to chlorine so my family and friends can assist what are the stop to switching to chlorine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
