    Default Good protable vacuum system?

Can anyone make a recommendation on a good portable vacuum system, the kind that has it's own pump and cartirdge filter on a caddy? I'm finding quite a few of these on an internet search. They all look alike and have similar features, so I'm at a loss. Price seems to range from $900 - $1500.

Do a search for Aquabot, then Blue Diamond, Blue Pearl, and Dolphin. I am getting ready to install my first pool, and I am leaning toward the Blue Diamond. Check out ebay and online pool suppliers, infact some of those are recommended on this forum. ! Good Luck

Why not build your own? A 1/2 hp in-ground pump set to use 120 volts, a 150 sq. ft. filter, hose adapters as needed, a GFCI into the electrical system and a cart to mount them on. Not hard to do. What you won't get is the trailer-hitch mount and possibly stainless-steel cart.

I've thought of that, but without a decent plan for one, what I come up with might really be a stinker. What kind of filter housing would I use? What should I mount it on, like a hand truck or something?
