Sand for Sandfilter

What sand shall I get for the Sandfilter????

I don't mean for this to sounds facetious--but you need to use filter grade sand. Kiddie play sand isn't the right stuff.

Pool stores sell it. Around here (NJ in the NYC metro area) it sells in 50# bags for $5 to $6 a bag. Cheap enough I figure! But in the past it's been as high as $10 to $12 a bag.
