Default Polaris 180 and Intermatic Timer - Quick Disable?

We have children with big heavy feet. The brace holding the float is cracked again because I didn't get the Polaris 180 out of the pool fast enough at the start of a birthday party. I usually leave it in the pool all the time because it's just easier. If I take it out of the pool the Intermatic timers (two yellow disks) will still turn on the booster pump, unless I remove one of the trippers.

Is it okay for the booster pump if it runs and the 180 is -not- connected to the port in the pool? If it's bad for the pump, is there an easier way to keep it off other than removing a tripper on the Intermatic timer?

    Thanks,
    Tom Wood

The trippers come off real easy. That is the easiest thing to do, it takes 5 seconds. If you panel has a breaker for that pump you can also switch that off but don't forget to resynchronize the timer for the booster as when the breakers off the clock does not move.
