    Default Cloudy water

Here are my numbers from the pool store:

    CYA: 25
    Free Cl: 2.5
    Tot Cl: 2.5
    pH: 8.4
    Alkalinity: 151
    Hardness: 246

I have a 23,300 cement IG pool with a sand filter. Water is not that bad, I can see the bottom at the shallow end but cannot in the deep end.

What can I do to get this crystal clear?

Shock your pool and maintain shock levels for a few days. See the 'best guess' chart at the following link to help with shock levels. Run your pump 24/7. Also, use some muriatic acid to lower your ph down to about 7.4.

    XIgnals,

I assume you mean muriatic acid. Lowes..Home depot.

Down mwsmith2's calculator from any of his posts so you won't put in too much. In fact, I would get it in there immediately...it may be the cause of your cloudiness and is certainly not helping your pool.
