Stupid question about DE scoop

What size is the standard DE scoop that you can get from places like Leslies.

Its either 1 lb or 1/2 lb. I think its 1 lb, but I'm charging a new DE filter and want to make sure I got enough in before I run it much.

I'd just call leslie's, but its long distance and I'm at work w/o my cell phone this morning.

The one I have is 1/2 pound, it is about 10-12 inches long, maybe 6 inches high and 5-6 inches wide, but I am going from memory, might be a tad larger.

The one I have holds 1 pound. Compare volume of your scoop with an empty coffee can. Cans these days are not 1lb. anymore but they are close.

Turns out it was a half pound. That DE stuff is pretty light weight.
