I have a basic taylor drop test kit that I picked up from leslies when I added water in my pool about 1.5 months ago. Today I had came home and used it to check my chlorine, and PH. It shows that there is no chlorine, and my ph went up to 8.2, dumping in about 3/4 gallons should bring it down some, if not more than enoughtwell see. not sure exactly (because im new to this - CYA) I added about 4 lbs of conditioner to the pool a few weeks ago and had it checked last week at leslies and it was still kinda low so I added about another lb. of conditioner to bring it up. I do however need to get a complete tayler test kit. Would my swg not be working correctly since it's not showing any chlorine? I do not have anymore liquid chlorine or I would dump some in now, all we have here at the house is 2 gallons of chlorox bleach, I have never used bleach in the pool yet or before so I'm not sure if its even a good idea to try it or what kind to use. thanks again
