    Im on baq, i know will switch in spring, my question is had my water tested at the pool store they said my alk is 68 should be between 80-150ppm, never had a problem with alk in my 4yrs of pooling is this to low, we did have lots of rain in the last couple of weeks? also they said my ph wa 7.8 on my test sprip it seems ok, 7.2-7.8 should i leave it or is this a problem, water looks ok,28ft av ground let me know whats up on the technical end. thanks for all your help

    If the results are accurate (with test strips they are very suspect..) your alk is a little low. Having it that low will allow your pH to swing more freely. I suggest you up it to 80 or 90. pH of 7.8 is okay, but is at the upper end of the desired scale.
