Question Nitrates, Phosphates, and TDS ??

Should I be worried/testing for these in my home pool, or do these issues only really apply to public pools?

If I need to test, what's best way?

    Hi, Mike,

Short answer....No......put some cold ones in the 'fridge.

Go swimming and enjoy your pool.

    Ditto.

They are more important in tropical fish tanks.

I have learned SO much about pool chemicals and proper maintenance over the years from this forum that I don't like to swim in public pools anymore. I like to swim in our pool or the ocean...
