    Default Another newbie seeking guidance

    Hello all.
I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and finally joined. I've learned a TON of information about maintaining a pool, but need to know what to look for in buying one.

I have a few questions, but I'm afraid of getting misinformed from sales people trying to make a 'last of the season' sale.
The biggest of questions is resin vs steel/aluminum.

The local dealer is offering a very good price for an Artesian - 21' Platinum complete package ($2300). However they're telling me that there is a limited number of these pools left nationwide, price increases in spring, etc... so I shouldn't wait too long.
The dealer is willing to store the pool till spring after we buy it, to avoid setting it up and right away winterizing it. They really praise this particular pool and it's features, but I hope it's not just to make a sale.

Could anyone give me some guide lines as to what to look for in a quality pool and what to avoid in choosing a pool?

I saw the previous posts on pumps and filters, which it seems this package deal that I'm considering, falls inline with this information.
Many thanks for any and all help.

Hi, there are several different threads about pool brands and everyones favorite. Check back a page or two or three and search them out, very informative.

To me the price and pool quality sound good. Maybe someone else here bought one like it this summer?

Of Course Resin is less likely to rust... but I have no experience with either type... so I'd pick whichever has the best Warranty
