Default intex plastic pool/wall fitting problem...

We have an Intex pool we bought last year and it is great for the price except one thing, after a few months the plastic fittings that connect to the pump hoses get brittle and break apart, causing massive leaks. These are the fittings inside the pool that screw together on either side of the pool wall. i can order new fittings from Intex for around $3 each plus $7.50 shipping, but that's a pain to order and swap-out every few months.

Anyone find a better alternative to the Intex fittings for a reasonable price?

    Anyone else have this problem?

Hi, Hayward makes quality fittings in many different sizes. I would take one of your bad ones to a pool store or two and see if they can match it with something a little better quality. A Hayward fitting should last five to ten years or better.
