    Default Salt from water softener.

How much salt gets in the pool from a water softener?
Is it NaCL or is it in another form? If so what reactions does this cause?

I presume you are adding the water as fill or refill. The only way to find out is to do a salt on the water. It should be very low. Less than 50 ppm.

It will have no effect on the pool. In fact there are many members here who add salt because of the silky feel.

    Hope this helps.
