Question How to Prime Booster Pump

We tripped a breaker the other day and had to restart all the pool equipment. Since then, our booster pump is make a gosh-awful racket. Our pump is self-priming and in my doofus-ness, I ***umed that the booster pump was too. I'm guessing it is needing to be primed? I am not running it until I figure it out, and the pool is getting full of crap which I am trying to hand skim out and I do not enjoy.

I don't really get the booster pump anyway. I mean, there are these two little vents, one on each side, and water seems to trickle out of them all the time? What's up with that?

Can anyone ***ist a poor doofus girl like me?

Those vents you describe sound like what are called "weep holes". When water leaks out of them it means the seal is bad. A bad seal can also cause the priming trouble you are having.
