I have the same problem every year in that I drain the pool down to below the tiles. Winterize/cover with a mesh cover and then all the rain/snow keeps adding water until it's back in the skimmer boxes. If I was smart I would have had a gravity drain line installed below the tile line while they were building the pool. I was thinking of using some kind of bilge pump with a float switch that would turn on when the water level got too high. The big problem with this idea is I live where the water freezes so the pump idea becomes pretty complicated. Any ideas from you folks out there?
