Question Polaris 65 return adapter question

My sister-in-law has a Polaris 65 that came with her pool. My question is do most of you leave the adapter for the polaris in the return all the time or do you take it out and put the eyeball back in after each use? I trust the opinions here and know you won't steer me wrong. Thanks a bunch, Penny

The Polaris return adaptor for the 165 (the bigger version of the 65) is designed to be left in place all season. However, I don't think it performs quite as well as an eyeball. The only drawbacks I see to constantly swapping it is time and the stress it puts on the adapter--you may break or damage it changing it so much.

I don't use my Polaris 65 anymore, but when I did, I removed the adaptor when not using it. I like to be able to aim my eyeball where I want to. Sometimes at the top to skim floating stuff and head it into the skimmer and sometimes more downward for better circulation.

I don't have the Polaris 65, I have the Turbo Turtle but I assume that the connection is the same. I was able to purchase an eyeball that attaches to the Polaris return adapter, in the same way the hose attaches.
