    Default Adding Dry Chemicals

I tend to mix all of my dry chemicals with water before putting them in the skimmer. I bought an oil change basin at an auto parts store and use it for mixing the DE, Borax, Baking Soda etc.... It has a lip to make pouring easy and because of its odd shape it is less likely to get used for "other purposes"......just don't leave it in your garage!

Remember mix one chemical at a time!

That is certainly fine to do, but actually, you can just put those things directly into the skimmer. I do it all the time.
